Beat The Heat With COOLER Cotton Woven Cloth Pad Options!

Beat The Heat With COOLER Cotton Woven Cloth Pad Options!

Are cloth pads hot?

We get that question a lot. Many women are concerned about the fabric topped cloth pads being too warm to wear in summer months or making them sweaty in general. Truthfully it's a matter of preference, location, time of year and each person's body chemistry. We all know people who's feet sweat profusely while others do not, smelly underarms vs. no smell at all...the same is true for women's apocrine glands. If you're concerned about excessive sweating or live in a climate where you experience warm summer months or perhaps work outdoors, cotton woven cloth pads are a great solution.

Cotton woven topped cloth pads provide a trim fit and no pill. In other words, the fabric textiles are not fluffy like minky or velour. They leave you feeling cooler and more dry, while still providing adequate absorbency, just like our other cloth pads.

Our cotton woven cloth pads have a fleece back, unless you'd prefer PUL (which is sold exclusively in our ETSY store) and an interior core of bamboo fleece for absorbency.

If you're ready to add some cotton woven cloth pads to your summer stash, use code JUSTBECAUSE at checkout and save 10% off any regular priced items at

Pink Lemonade Shop Cloth Pad Review

Posted by Cara G. on 5/7/2018 to Guest Posts

I have been using Pink Lemonade Shop pads for about a year and a   half. I had always used disposable pads and tampons when one day I   accidentally ran across a pattern for reusable pads online. I never knew that   such a product even existed. I was immediately interested and starting doing   lots of research on care and benefits of reusable products. Since I had started   my period when I was in my pre-teens, I had been experiencing intense   cramping, heavy bleeding, and a rash for 7-8 days a month which left me   feeling less than able to live my life normally. I was nervous about the upkeep and care these products needed, but I was desperately hoping after learning about reusable pads that they may offer me some relief. How do you take care of them? How will I use them at my office? Will others be bothered by my choice?

Cloth pads aren't just for your period.  You can enjoy their benefits postpartum too!  How many postpartum cloth  pads you will need depends on how often you'd like to wash.  You may also be able to enjoy the Overnight cloth  pads already in your stash for postpartum protection too.
After using disposable pads for years and following the birth of my oldest son and its tough recovery, I knew I had to made a change. What is FREE BLEEDING and can you wear cloth pads?
The first thing that comes to mind when someone mentions "free bleeding" is the London Marathon Runner who completed a marathon, while on her period, and chose to run without wearing a tampon or any other form of protection from leaks. Kiran Gandhi ran without leak-protection to raise awareness for women, primarily in third world countries, who do not have access to affordable feminine hygiene products and are shamed, kept home from school or work and otherwise ostracized from the general public while menstruating.

How My Journey to Cloth Pads Began

Posted by Regan on 1/21/2016 to Getting Started
I have been a member of my oldest son's birth club group since right after his birth almost sixteen years ago. Crazy, right? Over the years, it has turned into a bunch of women sitting around in a virtual Starbucks chit-chatting over cyber lattes. About eight years ago one of those conversations was about reusable menstrual options
